Many hot tubs rely on composite or plastic cabinet panels for their exterior. While these materials can look attractive initially, they are susceptible to warping, bowing, and deformation over time due to moisture absorption, UV exposure, and repeated temperature fluctuations.

SubZero Spas uses a fundamentally different cabinet construction.

Our cabinet panels are made from steel, with insulation sandwiched between each side, creating a rigid, dimensionally stable structure. Each panel is finished with a durable exterior wrap that provides color and texture while maintaining the strength and stability of steel beneath.

  Unlike composite materials, steel does not absorb moisture or change shape over time. The cabinet stays straight, tight, and aligned—even after years of exposure to harsh conditions.
